Islam considers other religions to be either fabricated and false, or abrogated. The fabricated and false religions are those like the ancient Arabian practise of worshipping idols and stones. The abrogated religions are those which were taught by the Prophets who came before our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Muslims believe that there is only One God and that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His Messenger. They also believe that Jesus was a human being with no divine qualities. Christians, on the other hand, believe in the divinity of Jesus as the Son of God and the second person of the holy trinity. They hold that divinity can be incarnated in humanity and that Jesus (Peace be upon him) was crucified by the Jews, dying on the cross as a ransom for mankind to atone for original sin.

Love in Islam may be divided into specific love and general love. Specific love may be divided into permissible love and prohibited love. General love is of three types: 1- natural love; 2- love based on mercy and pity; and 3- love based on acquaintance and friendship.

There is no contradiction between the fact that things are decreed and written, and the fact that we have free will when doing them, for we do not know what is written and we feel that we have complete freedom to choose what actions to take, and we distinguish between involuntary actions such as the heartbeat and the activity of the intestines, and voluntary actions that we do with our hands or feet or eyes and so on.

1. The accountable person is free to choose whether to obey or disobey of his own free will, and he will be requited for that. 2. Allah knows what His slave’s fate will be, and He has written that with Him. 3. Allah supports and helps His believing slave, and He knows best who is deserving of support and help. 4. Allah forsakes whomever He will, and does not grant him support or help him. His support is based on His grace and His forsaking is based on His justice. 5. The one who is helped is the one who asks Allah for support and help. 6. The believing slave affirms the grace of Allah, acknowledges the blessings that He has bestowed upon him, and attributes all goodness and success to Him.

Allah has commanded Muslims to disavow disbelief and its people. But this does not mean that there cannot be some kind of love or affection for some reason between a Muslim and an individual disbeliever, either because of ties through kinship or marriage, or because of some kindness or favour, and the like, while still disavowing his religion and being opposed to him in that regard. Disavowing and resenting the disbeliever is not because of his lineage, homeland, colour or image; rather it is because of the disbelief that he follows and his opposition to the religion of Allah. There is no contradiction between that and loving for him to be guided; rather this is how all the messengers and believing slaves of Allah were with their people.

The Quran and the Sunnah clearly indicate that sound `aqidah may be summed up as: believing in Allah, His angels, His Books, His messengers, the Last Day, and the divine decree, both good and bad.

The creed of Ahl As-Sunnah wal Jama`ah regarding the attributes of Allah is that they affirm them and affirm the meanings indicated by the words in linguistic terms, and they leave knowledge of how the attributes are and their nature to Him, while believing that we cannot compare any of the divine Attributes to the attributes of created beings, for there is none like unto Him either in His Essence or in His attributes.

The believing woman should be content with the fact that Allah has prescribed polygamy, and she should believe that there is wisdom in it and that it serves an interest. She should not resent this ruling, even if she has a natural aversion to the presence of a co-wife who competes with her, just as men dislike fighting a war.

The Islamic system of law (Shari`ah) provides all that people need of rulings regarding all their affairs, because it is the final system of law, the perfect and complete religion.
