The life of the deceased in the grave is different from his life in this world. It is a special kind of life in al-barzakh (the interval between his death and the Day of Resurrection) which is not like his life in this world.

1. Al-Barzakh is the period between a person's death and his resurrection on the Day of Resurrection. 2. Whoever dies as a Muslim, obeying Allah, will be in a blessed state, and whoever dies as a disbeliever, disobeying Allah, will be punished. 3. The punishments vary according to the sins committed. The Angels that accompany each person in this world do the following: 1- they take care of him when he is created, 2- they guard him, 3- they write down his good deeds and bad deeds. So, the number of angels who accompany each person after he is born is four angels.
