1- The evil eye refers to when a person harms another with his eye. It starts when the person likes a thing, then his evil feelings affect it, by means of his repeated looking at the object of his jealousy. 2- To protect yourself from the evil eye, you should: • Recite ruqyah • Ask the person who has put the evil eye on another to wash, then the water should be poured over the one who has been afflicted. • Make these du`as: 1- A’udhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min sharri ma khalaq. 2- A’udhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min ghadabihi wa ‘iqabihi, wa min sharri ‘ibadihi wa min hamazat al-shayatini wa an yahduroon.

The conditions of worship are: 1- The worship must be in accordance with Shari`ah in its reasons. 2- The act of worship should be in accordance with Shari`ah in its type or nature. 3- The act of worship must be in accordance with Shari`ah in its amount. 4- The act of worship must be in accordance with Shari`ah in how it is done. 5- The act of worship must be in accordance with Shari`ah with regard to its timing. 6- The act of worship must be in accordance with Shari`ah with regard to the place where it is done.

Belief in the Books of Allah implies: 1- Firm belief that all of them were revealed from Allah, 2- The Books that Allah has mentioned by name, we must believe in by name, and those which Allah has mentioned in general terms, we must believe in them in general terms, 3- Believing whatever is true of what they say, and 4- Believing that Allah revealed the Quran as a witness over these Books and to confirm them.

Our need for religion is greater than our need for any of the other necessities of life. We need to know what pleases Allah and what angers Him. We need to act in our own interests and to ward off things that will harm us.

The scholars agreed that it is haram to wear amulets for protection if they contain anything other than Quran, but they differed concerning those which do contain Quran. Some of them said that wearing these is permitted, and others said that it is not permitted.

Angels in Islam are a part of the world of the “Unseen” which we cannot comprehend. Allah has told us about them in many places in the Quran and via His Prophet Muhammad. Belief in angels is one of the six pillars of faith without which there is no faith.

Among the merits of Islam is that it enjoins good characteristics such as truthfulness, patience, deliberation, kindness, humility, modesty, keeping promises, dignity, mercy, justice, courage…

Characteristics of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah are: 1- they follow the truth, 2- they obey the commandments of Allah, 3- they will be victorious until the Last Hour, and 4- they are patient and resist others with patience.
