1- If the husband is away from his wife for more than six months, and his wife agrees to that and he has left her in a safe place, there is no problem. 2- If she did not agree to that, then she may refer her case to the Shari’ah judges to determine whether her husband has a sound excuse or he has to return or the marriage may be annulled.
