A man is regarded as a Mahram of the daughters of a woman whom he marries if he consummates the marriage; it becomes permissible for them not to observe Hijab in front of him. With regard to the rights and duties of a stepdaughter and her stepfather towards one another, they may be summed up as upholding ties, respecting one another, and treating one another kindly.

Engagement in Islam means that a man asks to marry a woman and is accepted. The view of the scholars is that engagement is prescribed for one who wants to get married. Prophet Muhammad encouraged the one who wants to get engaged to look at the woman to whom he wishes to propose. What some Muslims do, announcing the engagement, having a party to celebrate and exchanging gifts, all comes under the heading of customs which are permissible in principle.

The use of artificial wombs in Islam is not clearly permissible or prohibited due to the current lack of evidence and scientific certainty. However, if such technology is proven safe and adheres to strict Islamic guidelines, it may be considered permissible. Key conditions include: ensuring the procedure is free from harm, using only permissible tissues from the husband and wife, and that traditional methods are not viable.

Whomever Allah blesses with a righteous wife, He has helped him with half of his religion, so let him fear Allah with regard to the other half.

1. The basic principle that marriage is prescribed applies to all people but it may be more important in the case of some people than others. 2. If you fear that you may commit prohibited things if you do not get married, you are obliged to get married. 3. Marriage is recommended for the one who feels desire but there is no risk of his engaging in prohibited actions. 4. We advise those who do not want to get married to be resolved and put their trust in Allah, and Allah will help them, and will provide them with a righteous wife who will help them to obey their Lord and He will bless them with righteous offspring who will be a stored treasure for them with Allah in the Hereafter.
