It is makruh to single out Saturday for fasting. If one fasts another day along with Saturday, then it is not makruh. For different scenarios for fasting on a Saturday, see the detailed answer.

If the sick person cannot do Wudu with water because he is unable to or because he is afraid that it will make his sickness worse or delay his recovery, then he should do Tayammum. If the sick people cannot stand, then he may pray sitting. If he is unable to pray sitting, he may pray lying on his side. If he is unable to pray on his side, he may pray lying on his back with his feet towards the Qiblah.

Six things make Ghusl obligatory: 1- emission of semen, 2- penetration of the penis into the vagina, 3- when a non-Muslim becomes Muslim, 4- the deceased person must be washed, 5- Menses and 6- postpartum bleeding.

The status of prayer in Islam is indicated by the following: 1- Prayer is the pillar of the religion, which cannot stand without it; 2- Prayer is second in status to the Shahadatayn; 3- Prayer occupies a special position because of the way in which it was enjoined; 4- Allah erases sins by means of prayer; 5- Prayer is the last part of religion to be lost, and if it is lost, the whole religion is lost; and 6- Prayer is the first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection.

You can pray Dhuhr and Asr or Maghrib and `Isha’ together in these cases: for the traveller, for one who is sick, for one who is breastfeeding, one who is unable to purify himself with water or to do Tayammum for every prayer, one who is unable to work out the time, and one who is suffering from Istihadah.

Commercial insurance of all types is prohibited, whether it is life insurance, health insurance or insurance of one’s property. But it is permissible to deal with it when a person is forced to do so or when a person is compelled to take out health insurance.

1- With regard to prohibited things that Islam regards as being of no value, it is not permissible to gain any benefit from them at all; rather they must be disposed of by being destroyed. 2- With regard to wealth that was taken from its owner with no justification and without his permission or consent, it must be returned to him, or to his heirs if he has died. If it is not possible to reach him, then it may be given in charity on his behalf. 3- With regard to the person who acquired prohibited wealth but was unaware of the prohibition on this transaction, or he was following a scholar who issued a Fatwa to that effect, he does not have to get rid of this wealth after coming to know of the prohibition and repenting from that; rather he may make use of it. 4- With regard to the one who acquired prohibited wealth despite knowing of the prohibition, and he took it with the permission and consent of the owner, then he repented from that, he does not have to return it. However the scholars differed as to whether he is obliged to give it in charity or whether he may keep it and make use of it, as is the view favoured by Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah.

Madhiy is impure, so if it is emitted and any of it gets onto the testicles or any part of the body, it is obligatory to wash the place it got onto in order to remove this impurity. If someone prays knowing that there is any Madhiy on his body and he deliberately did not wash it, then his prayer is not valid.

It is not permissible for a woman to travel to seek knowledge without a Mahram. She should acquire the knowledge that she needs in the many ways that are available such as listening to tapes, asking scholars over the phone and other means that Allah has made available in these times.

The substances that prevent water from reaching the skin are substances that have “mass” and are usually waterproof, so they do not dissolve and are not removed by putting water on them.
