Does gargling invalidate the fast?

Is the fast invalidated by using gargles?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.

The fast is not invalidated so long as one does not swallow it, but this should not be done unless it is necessary. It does not invalidate the fast so long as none of the medicine reaches the stomach.
