Practical acts of kufr may put one beyond the pale of Islam

Practical acts of kufr put one beyond the pale of Islam, such as prostrating to anyone other than Allah or offering a sacrifice to anyone other than Allah. This is a practical act of kufr that puts one beyond the pale of Islam. The one who slaughters a sacrifice to an idol or a star or the jinn has committed a practical act of major kufr. Similarly if he prays to them or prostrates to them, he has committed a practical act of major kufr. Similarly, if he reviles Islam or reviles the Messenger or mocks Allah or the Messenger, this is a practical act of major kufr, according to all Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah. End quote.
