How sound is the hadeeth, “Seek to draw closer to Allaah by virtue of my status”?

What is the status of the hadeeth, “Seek to draw closer to Allaah by virtue of my status, for my status with Allaah is great”?

Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. To proceed:

This hadeeth has no basis.

Ibn Taymiyah and al-Albaani said: it has no basis.
