Yes, fasting is waived in his case, and he has to feed one poor person for every day. If he wants he may give each poor person a quarter of a saa’ of rice, and if he adds meat to that, it is better. Or if he wants he may offer them dinner on the last night of Ramadaan, or offer them lunch on another day after Ramadaan. All of that is permissible. End quote.

There is a man who is sick with heart trouble, and he needs to take medicine all the time, I mean every eight hours or six hours. Is fasting waived in his case?.
