How to rinse the mouth in wudu

Question: 1175

Is wudu invalidated if a person rinses his mouth without putting his finger in his mouth, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to rinse his mouth with his finger? Is this report about him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saheeh?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.

Wudu is valid even if one does not insert ones finger in one's mouth when rinsing it. The report mentioned was narrated by Imam Ahmad with a daeef (weak) isnaad.
