Ruling on giving names from aayahs of the Qur’aan
Question: 9994
Answer
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
There is nothing wrong with that, for these are created things. Aalaa’ means blessings and Afnaan means branches. People have started to look for more variety in names and are looking for new names for their sons and daughters.
