Is it permissible for one who is sick to have intercourse with his Christian wife during the day in Ramadan?

There is a man whose wife is Christian, and he has a kidney disease and is medically not allowed to fast. Can he be intimate with his wife during the day in Ramadan?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. To proceed:

We put this question to our shaykh, ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan al-Barraak (may Allah preserve him) and he said:

What appears to be the case is that there is nothing wrong with that.
