Wiping over adhesive dressings (Band-Aids) when doing wudu

Question: 2173

I have something like abscesses on my feet, and the treatment requires that I put an adhesive dressing over them, so that I do not get any water on them when doing wudu. What is the ruling in this case?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. To proceed:

Your wudu is valid whether you wipe over the dressing or let water pass over it.
