If a woman is praying at home, is it sufficient for her to recite the iqaamah only? If a man is too late to pray in the mosque and he prays at home -- whether at the proper time or otherwise -- is it sufficient for him to recite the iqaamah or does he have to say the adhaan and iqaamah?.
In the case of a man, the iqaamah is sufficient because he has heard the call to prayer and the Muslims have done it, so iqaamah is sufficient for him. In the case of a woman, she does not have to say the iqaamah or the adhaan. She should pray without either iqaamah or adhaan. End quote.
