Does the prohibition on leaving the mosque after the adhaan apply to women too?

Does the hadeeth which forbids leaving the mosque after the adhaan include
women, if they are in the mosque?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. To proceed:

We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, who replied as follows:

It does not include them, because women are not obliged to pray in jamaa’ah (in the first place). And Allaah knows best.
